His history of participation in competitive sports and desire to work with athletes combined with his interest in new biologic therapies and the use of arthroscopy led him to Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Having undergone open heart surgery and being a Type 1 diabetic, he has a unique perspective as well as a great deal of empathy when working with patients.
